    Default Soul of a Horse

Has anyone read Joe Camp's book, Soul of a Horse? I thought the ideas he presented about horse care were fascinating and he managed to convince me of many of his viewpoints. He believes horses shouldn't be kept in the barn, or wear shoes, and that they should eat off the ground. Anyone else think he is right about these things?

I haven't read the book, but I've read similar 'philosophies' about other animals. Without having all the background, I'd still be willing to say that while I understand the concept of encouraging animals to live in a way that's natural to them, it also seems that domesticated animals have been around and working with/for humans for so long that it has become part of their nature to be sheltered, shod and fed in certain ways. I mean surely they've adapted to a greater point by now?
